Our Wembley Art Trail is growing

Artists in Residence has brightened up the streets of Wembley with a series of 30+ stunning murals painted on walls and shop shutters.

The project, which was produced in partnership with Brent Council saw a group of talented artists transform dull, grey shutters into vibrant works of art. The paintings, which depict a range of subjects including the store’s function, pop culture, and local landmarks, have attracted attention from residents and tourists alike.

“We’re so pleased with how the paintings have turned out,” said Rubie , Wembley Town Centre Manager of Brent Council. “Not only do they add colour and beauty to the neighbourhood, but they also support local businesses by drawing attention to their storefronts. We’re thrilled to have been able to bring this project to life and make a positive impact on our community.”

The paintings have received praise from council members and local businesses, with many expressing their gratitude for the effort put into the project.

“These paintings have really brought life to our neighbourhood,” said Wedding dress shop owner, Jabeen. “We’ve had so many positive comments from customers, and it’s been great to see people stopping and taking photos of the artwork. It’s a fantastic way to support local artists and bring some positivity to the area.”

Artists in Residence plans to continue its efforts to bring public art to the community, with future projects in the works. “We believe that art has the power to bring people together and make a positive impact on our surroundings,” Andria, CEO of AiR . “We can’t wait to see what the future holds for us and for the talented artists who have contributed to this project.”
